Then I assume, this has nothing to do with the update…. Riot Games has announced a new patch for Valorant, which development started off slightly bit earlier than expected. I am currently based in EU, and what I am seeing are mismatch errors, broken matchmaking and other flaws. It seems that the development of patch 0. For a brief moment, I was excited because after I rebooted the game, I saw a Battle Pass Rewards window, for which after the game restart it was gone. I feel bad for not taking a screenshot of the Battle Pass Rewards section. Now, after the second boot, I was barely able to invite my friend and play together. At first, we had some version mismatch error , which I assume is the reason why the Matchmaking is broken at this moment. I guess clients with older versions are still in the game and are unaware of the update.
Valorant ranked matchmaking and leaderboards coming soon
Competitive mode will be available soon after patch 0. VALORANT’s competitive system is still in its early stages, and we plan to evolve it over time, but we have a core experience we wanted to share with you all in closed beta so that we can build and evolve the mode together. While we plan to keep Unrated mode always available, Competitive matchmaking may be disabled for short periods throughout the closed beta as we work to refine the mode and incorporate your feedback.
Our system aims to solve some of the common pain points we’ve seen players experience with competitive modes and ranked systems.

The end is nigh for Evolve
Google on Monday rolled out Game Servers in beta, a managed service designed to simplify the management of global, multi-cluster game server fleets. Game Servers is effectively an enhanced version of Agones , the open-source game hosting platform built on top of Kubernetes, which Google debuted with Ubisoft in The goal of Game Servers is to take the work out of hosting massive, multi-player games like Fortnite or Call of Duty.
Typically, game developers rely on dedicated servers to host multi-player experiences, but hosting and scaling a game server fleet to support a global multi-player game can be challenging. Players around the world are connected and communicating, all watching the same environment and the real-time actions all other players are taking.
And while Friday the 13th: The Game developer Illfonic may not be a first-party studio, the project is still a statement of intent from the Japanese.
Evolve is only 11 days from going live in the wild. The fact that its a NEW IP is a huge draw and exactly what this new generation of console players need. Secondly EVOLVE is the first new game this year to throw its hat into the ever so finicky realm of competitive gaming. While not being heavy handed about this aspect of the gameplay, studio Turtle Rock has been quoted as saying that the game has a very competitive component to it and this is not something they have turned a blind eye to.
The game has been showcased to the public in several events wrapped around a tournament format. So many elements of the game screams competitive play but on the surface the 4V1 nature causes a lot of the E-Sport purists out there to hesitate. Traditional team based multiplayer games revolve around symmetrical amounts of players typically 4v4 or higher. A team is made up of players who are talented in the position they fill. Like a Hockey team there is a single Goalie; a player who represents your teams ultimate defensive barrier.
Have a aggressive player take the reigns of Goliath and another player entirely slotted to play Wraith for a more sneaky approach to the match. Your team captain is the coach and look to him to call the play.
An important announcement about Evolve
This week, Ryan Smith weighed in on Evolve , the new multiplayer game that has a team of four players hunting down a lone but powerful monster player. So many multiplayer games seem to be designed in an idealized vacuum, in the sense that they work extremely well when everyone plays in the style and in the numbers that the developers are anticipating. In an ideal situation with experienced, communicative players—maybe at a LAN party or tournament— Evolve might work really well.
No matter your budget or size, testing new games via open beta is definitely a process evolution to consider. Plus, Google Play’s new country.
However, Riot feels like the core competitive-framework is ready to be experienced by the community, with which they want to share and evolve even further. This, Brighteyz warns, might lead to the competitive mode being disabled from time to time over the course of the beta, as refinements based on feedback are being made. At first, personal performance will mostly determine your skill evaluation but, over time, as your skill is honed in on by the system, wins will matter most.
Google unveils Game Servers in beta, for hosting global, multi-player games
Biggest issue. The matchmaking is a total failure. This could be because of a few different reasons but the reasons does not change the experience for me personally.
Evolve Stage 2 PC- Matchmaking/ Quickplay/ Black Screen issues: There is also an issue with the party system of the game that we believe Note that the game is launched as a Beta, so PC optimization issues might get.
As Heroes of the Storm matures, and we bring more players into the game, we’ll shift our matchmaker toward catering to more experienced players. This should make games feel much better for the veterans. On the flip side, we want to take care of our new players. This means a newer player could be tossed around in games that could be way above their skill level, ultimately hurting their overall match experience.
The matchmaker will use MMR to find an even match, rather than the visible rankings on a profile. Being a high-level player does not necessarily mean a player has a high skill ceiling and vice versa , so consider this information when transitioning to different modes.

Call of Duty server matchmaking problems are causing long wait times for Modern Warfare and Warzone players. Call of Duty down reports have been on the rise all day today. However, it might be that Call of Duty is not ‘down’ in the typical sense, but there does appear to be problems with matchmaking, which has now been confirmed by Activision Support. Stay tuned for updates.
However, this update was announced over 4 hours ago and there’s been no further word on what might be causing the issues. Or equally more importantly, how long it might take Activision or Infinity Ward to fix the issue. It’s equally perplexing because the Activision Support website is still describing All platforms as being ‘online’ as though there are no issues. We’ve also seen increased reports of players also experiencing Call of Duty Server queues.
Though the issues with the game appear to have flared up today, most of the issues appear to have resulted from the most recent patch update released on April By James Wright Gaming Editor. Our Privacy Notice explains more about how we use your data, and your rights. You can unsubscribe at any time.
